About the Movie: The film Wild Card is a thrilling story of how a Las Vegas bodyguard who has lethal skills gets involved into a problem and how it becomes a matter of life and death choice. The film is based on the 1985 novel Heat which was written by William Goldman and is also a remake of the 1986 adaptation titled as Heat and starred Burt Reynolds. This American crime thriller is about a character Nick played by Jason Statham who is a free agent. His current job is to help a rich schlub (Max Casella), impress his gorgeous girlfriend (Sofia Vergara) and escort a naïve billionaire (Michael Angarano) around town. The story takes a u-turn when his friend Holly (Dominik Garcia-Lorido) who once loved Nick is attacked by a cruel gangster and Nick gets involved with Holly to get her revenge which makes them choose the vicious path. The film is a remake with spices to entertain the audience.

Editor’s Comments: According to me the brilliant team behind the film, the strong cast and impressive thrilling plot will help the movie score good numbers otherwise according to Josh  Modell the movie seems like a largely forgettable lark, notable more for its slight diversions from action movie norms.
