About the Movie: Two days and one night is a film which tells you about life and the opportunities life brings with itself. Sandra (Marion Cotillard) is a girl who suffered from a serious bout with depression. She is on leave from her office but when she hears from her office that they will have to let her go as the rest of the staff played her role in the office and they think staff can easily cope up with the work without her. She realizes that nobody will wait for her and everything will move forward. Her Journey starts when the office asks the 16 employees to choose between Sandra’s job and a bonus of €1000. Her husband’s support and love gives her the courage to fight for her job by meeting each of her colleagues and convincing them to forgo the bonus and vote for her job. What she receives after every meeting with her colleagues are scenarios told with amazing perfection, compassion and kindness. The film is about the journey of rebuilding yourself and rise of one’s individualism over collective thinking. The audience will love the performance by a great artist.
Comments: Directed by Jean-Pierre Dardenne, Luc Dardenne, the film is a perfect example of perfection. Premiered at Cannes in May with a standing ovation, this movie is all frames justifying their existence. This film will be an inspiring one as the outcomes of Sandra’s struggle to save her job will be making this girl win the battle in any way. The message is that it’s important to give it a try and that is what you call success. This will be for sure a powerful tonic.
