About the Movie: Ballet 422 is an inspirational story of an emerging choreographer Justin Peck. The movie is an amazing documentary type which takes its audience backstage at New York City Ballet from first rehearsal to world premiere. Justin Peck wants to give a new feel and look to Ballet. Justin Peck has been focused and concerned about how he can put his art into a way beyond the glare of celebrity glitz. The film is all about the tough and intense process that gave the company’s winter season 2013 a life. Directed by Jody Lee Lipes this film has the intense story that tells the audience about the formation of the principal piece, “Paz de la Jolla” which will be the company’s 422nd ballet. But Justin Peck just does not seem to settle down anything less than the best.
Editor’s Comments: What makes Ballot 422 interesting is the two wild months of working collectively and separately is not done just for the sake of presenting the dance that would hardly last for half an hour, but it is for the passion of dance, for the love of medium and a dance that may vanish until brought to life again. The film will entertain the audience with its passionate feel and will bring in the great amount of interest in the audience. Ballet 422 is all about a journey of falling in love with what you do and is not just about the process of collaborative work done for the love of it. Let us know what you feel about Ballet 422.
